Air Compliance Auditing for Industrial Facilities

This 1-day course is for industrial corporate and facility environmental personnel responsible for air permitting and compliance audits. The course covers general auditing concepts and practices, a brief overview of air regulations and permitting requirements, how to prepare and complete an air compliance audit, and documenting and handling audit findings. The course includes a review of example audit work documents, dissection of an air permit for auditing purposes, and group exercises.

Best Practices in Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Reporting

This one-day course is for environmental and sustainability professionals who plan to disclose carbon and energy data to CDP’s Climate Change Program and/or Supply Chain Program. Now more than a decade old, CDP has emerged as the global system enabling companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital information regarding environmental assets.

The course is intended for both new and existing CDP reporters and provides a compelling case for disclosure. Instructors will review techniques for optimizing the emissions quantification process, obtaining verification, and estimating payback for emissions mitigation. Selected case studies will be presented to demonstrate leadership in the reporting process and how organizations can benefit from the associated transparency among stakeholder groups.

Corporate Performance Improvement through Effective Management of EHS Business Risks

This 1-day course for EH&S and business risk managers reveals how to improve corporate performance through more effective management of EH&S, sustainability, and carbon risks and opportunities. The course focuses on business risk management guidelines and standards that companies use to identify, assess, and manage risks to achieve business objectives, including ISO 31000, COSO enterprise risk management, business continuity management (ISO 22301), and others.     EHS Audit Skills and Techniques

    This 1-day course is designed for individuals who conduct or plan to conduct internal EHS audits. This course will be applicable to any type of EHS regulatory or management system audit. Examples of these techniques will include some regulatory content; however, the emphasis of the course is auditing techniques and does not cover comprehensive regulatory information. Course topics that are invaluable to EHS auditors include: auditor standards of conduct, ethics, pre-audit activities, on-site audit activities, and post-audit activities.     Implementing a Best-in-Class Corporate Sustainability Reporting Program

    This 1-day course provides EH&S and sustainability/corporate responsibility managers, directors, and executives with insight into the complexity of "sustainability" reporting and the value and challenges to verifying reported sustainability data.     Implementing a Best-in-Class ISO 45001:2018 OHS MS

    The ISO 45001 standard is replacing the OHSAS 18001 standard and establishes the globally accepted requirements for an Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS). Each organization’s OHSMS needs to identify legal and other requirements, work to achieve continuous improvement through objectives and programs, evaluate risks and hazards, control risks of the organization (including procurement and contractors), evaluate their compliance, monitor and measure their conformance, as well as audit and review their results. This course provides attendees with a thorough insight into OHSMS requirements and the changes to the OHSAS 18001 standard.
